My Celebrity Appearance with Super Yoga Mamma

Most of the time, I am interviewing other health and wellness experts. But often, I make sure to reverse those roles, so I can add my voice to the conversation that others are hosting about bringing wellness into the lives of people today. Recently, I appeared on the web radio show of yoga enthusiast, Super Yoga Mamma, Karyn Krause Amore, who leverages the spiritual and mental power that yoga teaches to restore balance to and strengthen weaknesses in her own life and relationships.

Like Karyn, my life calling is to help people get from a low place in life to their highest peak. I use physical health as my tool for life restoration – including yoga. In my own experience, physical exercise through personal training was the first a life-changing first step for healing from my own life’s bout of depression. The power of this physical activity brought me back to life through the pounding of my heartbeat and rush of adrenaline energy.

But there’s so much more to wellness! The battle is not fought only in the body, but also in the mind. On my radio talk show, Wellness for the Real World, I teach my listeners to – in addition to taking care of their body – they must also fill their mind with positive affirmations instead of negative criticisms. We must quiet our mind and connect with God in order to heal our mind and soul. It’s so powerful that I have a “Healing Depression with Yoga” webinar available on my Facebook page all about it! Yoga heals the mind and spirit.

Exercise enhanced the mind and body. Healthy diet restores the body. It really works! I’ve seen people change their lifestyle through these tools, and after time, were able to throw away their medications and stop their therapy sessions.
