Dead Moms = Better Dads?

Fathers have gotten a bad wrap. It seems that most fathers I know will fight tooth and nail to be involved with their children post divorced. I have also seen fathers who were not married to the mother of their child pursue full custody of the child when they felt the mother was inept.

I really feel we need to elevate Father’s Day to the same status as Mother”s Day. Celebratio­n of fatherhood should occur with fervor. It is obvious that both sons and daughter need and desire a father in their lives. Women need to encourage and support this and do everything they can to foster the relationsh­ip between their children and their father. Sometimes this means putting aside horrible disputes but later the children will be better off as they all want to know who their father is and want him in their lives.
